About Regis Volleyball
Volleyball practices are everyday from 3:30-5. Games are usually anyday in the week, and sometimes the team has tournaments on the weekends (only once or twice in a season). Practices are always held in the Regis upper-gym. While travel times can vary depending on where you live, players will usually get home around 6-7 PM. Volleyball occurs during the third trimester of freshman year, however it usually ends before major projects and end of the year assessments occur. The volleyball coach is one of Regis’ English teachers, Mr. Thiemman, who played Division One Volleyball at Princeton. Zach Jacque’s, a Senior and one of the star players on Regis’ team, describes the team as, “a very competitive and hardworking team that consistently gets far in the playoffs.” He enjoys the “positive but competitive space,” particularly “spiking the ball as hard as [he] can into the ground.”
