Students usually travel through Staten Island on a Ferry. In order to get to the Ferry terminal (Whitehall Terminal located on 4 Whitehall St.) you have to take either the 4 or 5 train downtown to Bowling Green Station. The Staten Island ferry is free to ride. However it is important to note that the ferry only arrives every 30 minutes. As a result, make sure when you travel to school and when you leave, to time yourself accordingly so you are not stuck waiting an entire 30 minutes extra. Expect your commute to be around 1.5 hours or longer.
